World Animal Day is celebrated in different ways and brings together everyone involved in animal welfare into a unified force that can hopefully make the world a better place for animals.
There are many animals mentioned in the Holy Quran, including: elephant, ant, spider, cow, camel, bees, and many others too.
Some animals are cute and fluffy, some are big and scary, some are beautiful to look at, and others are very useful for us humans either for milk, meat, or to help in jobs such as transport or farming.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, taught us to take into account animals and their feelings, not to harm them, not to mark them on the face, not to kill them for sport or fun, and not to have animal fights. He also told us to treat animals well and give them a good life.
