Can You Learn To Be Charismatic?

It’s a known fact that there are people more charismatic than others but contrary to general believes, anyone can become more charismatic. Ronald Riggio, professor at Clermont McKenna College researched the development of charisma and found out that people can actually be trained on specific skills that contribute to this quality.
To develop your charisma, researchers recommend to show more expression in your face. If you learn to express your emotions more clearly, you’ll also be able to control the emotions you fell and instead of letting know people you’re upset, you can appear calm and cool.
Listen carefully to what people are saying is a skill linked to charisma. Pr Riggio advises to focus on what you’re hearing rather than what you want to say.
A study published in The Harvard Business Review showed that sharing stories and anecdotes will make the audience more engaged and thus, people telling them more charismatic.
Asking rhetorical questions is also a good way to make your audience more engaged, whether it’s a large public or a single individual.
Researchers also have demonstrated that to appear more charismatic it was best using words people can relate to and avoid abstract language. This is the way the communicant can establish a direct link to their public.
