Southeast Asia Added 70 Million Online Shoppers

According to a Facebook ($FB@US) and Bain & Company report, an estimated 70 million additional people shopped online in six Southeast Asian countries during the pandemic. These countries saw rapid adoption of digital services like e-Commerce, food delivery, and online payment methods. The report surveyed more than 16,000 people in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The trend is likely to continue, and the projected number of digital consumers in Southeast Asia could reach 350 million by the end of this year.
