Sarawak recorded its highest daily record with 5,291 new infections while the total number of new cases nationwide saw a slight drop with 19,198 new infections.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said a total of 34 new clusters were detected, making the active clusters at 1,440 nationwide.
