Police and military units were patrolling around the Arc de Triomphe and other parts of Paris early on Saturday (Oct 31) as France braced for another round of protests that authorities warned could see more violence.
The only official protest route permitted by authorities for Saturday is on the capital’s eastern edge, far away from its famous landmarks.
