PARANAQUE FISHERMEN PROTEST DEMOLITION OF MUSSEL FARM, FISH PEN

A group of fisherfolk from a community in Paranaque City, hangs placards on their fishing boats during a fluvial protest at the Bulungan Fish Market in Barangay La Huerta on Sept. 2, 2021. The group said that about 200 families who rely on fishing at Manila Bay will be affected by a planned demolition of the tahungan (mussels) farm and saprahan (fish pen) on September 7 by the Manila Bay Inter-Agency Task Force and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
