New variant transmissibility not known

A new C.1.2 Coronavirus variant has hit South Africa's shores, but scientists say it's not known yet if it's more transmissable than others. The variant was first detected in May and has spread to other countries. What's important is that authorities say the current vaccines should be effective in fighting the variant. The National Institute for Communicable Diseases' Doctor Catherine Scheepers says there isn't enough data yet to establish how transmissable it is. Courtesy #DStv403
