World leaders condemned the attacks on Kabul airport that killed as many as 169 Afghans and 13 American service members. US President Joe Biden warned perpetrators of the attack and said, “We will hunt you down and make you pay.”

Meanwhile, amid the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan, the US said it will go ahead with its plan to conclude its mission by August 31, even as the evacuation effort is facing an "ongoing and acute threat" from ISIS-K. August 31 is the deadline set by both the US and the Taliban for America's withdrawal of troops from the war-torn Afghanistan.
