'Humpback Whale Comes DANGEROUSLY CLOSE to a Boat of Tour Guides'
'Breathtaking footage, emanating from Ilulissat, Greenland, shows a couple of tourist guides' extremely close encounter with a pod of Humpback whales.

"I work as a tourist guide for World Of Greenland in Ilulissat, Greenland, and my main responsibility is to go out and look for the whales before the kayaks hit the ocean," the filmer, Malik Hansen told us. "On this day, a colleague of mine and I went out to the Kangia Icefjord close to the old Sermermiut settlement and saw three whales coming right towards us."

He added: "I just kept the engines turned off because I didn't want to scare or disturb the whales. That is when a whale came a little too close to our boat and was about to breathe before it realized there was a boat right on top of it. At that point, it went under. It was about 15 meters long (49 feet 3 inches)."

This video was filmed on August 23, 2019, and to this day, Malik cherishes this rare experience and refers to it as a "very lucky tour."
