India's mixed team won a bronze medal at the Under-20 World Athletics Championships in Nairobi in the 4X400m relay race held on Wednesday. India's record has not been good in track and field, so this victory has come with a new hope that India can now bring medals in sports like track and field. The Indian quartet of S Bharat, Priya Mohan, Sumi and Kapil clocked 3:20.60 to finish third in the final. This is India's fifth medal in the history of the tournament.

भारत ने बुधवार को हुए 4X400 मीटर रिले रेस में भारत की मिश्रित टीम ने नैरोबी में अंडर-20 विश्व एथलेटिक्स चैंपियनशिप में कांस्य पदक जीता है। भारत का रिकॉर्ड ट्रैक एंड फील्ड में अच्छा नहीं रहा है ऐसे में ये जीत एक नई उम्मीद के साथ आयी है की भारत भी अब ट्रैक एंड फील्ड जैसे खेलों में मेडल ला सकता है। एस भरत, प्रिया मोहन, सुमी और कपिल की भारतीय चौकड़ी ने 3:20.60 सेकेंड का समय निकालकर फाइनल में तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया। यह टूर्नामेंट के इतिहास में भारत का पांचवां पदक है।
