‘Pearl’ In The Bay
The MV Palawan Pearl remains half-submerged in the waters of Manila Bay in Baseco, Tondo in Manila on July 9, 2021, a day after it collided with a foreign utility boat near the South Harbor. The cargo ship had 3,000 liters of diesel in its tank. The Philippine Coast Guard laid an oil boom in the area to contain a possible oil spill.
