India reports 1.27 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases, lowest in 54 days

India reported the lowest daily fresh Covid-19 cases in 54 days with 1.27 lakh new cases. India's active caseload further declined to 18,95,520 and dropped below 20 lakh after 43 days. As the declining trend continues, the Covid positivity rate has dropped to 6.62 per cent, the health ministry said. Not only daily Covid-19 cases, India also saw its lowest number of deaths in five weeks as 2,795 patients succumbed to the virus.
