This Pinay Makes the Most Calming and Relaxing Silent Vlogs
  • 3 years ago
During the course of the pandemic, we've seen major life changes happen before us. For Kristine Diane Cajes Rosal, fondly known as Simple Dee, that unfortunately meant losing her job. Since then, she had to cope with being a stay-at-home mom, adjusting to her circumstances and responsibilities, and finding worthwhile activities to fill her time.

Simple Dee got into silent vlogging, a popular vlogging style from Korea and Japan, that focuses on the everyday life of the vlogger. But, unlike the usual narrated versions or types where the person talks to the audience, silent vlogs do without hosting or narration. They simply go about their days and doucument their lives on cam—sometimes they don't even show their faces.

This style of content creation is perfect for people who are typically shy in front of the camera or are simply vlogging as a hobby. On the other hand, there are some, like Simple Dee, who do silent vlogging as a way of healing, coping, and refocusing her life. "Ït's not just for the viewers to find peace and calm through silent vlogs," she says. "But for me too as a creator... It's like sharing with your audience how you recover."
