Joburg City to introduce new waste picking regulations

Packaging company Nampak says waste pickers play an important role and should be protected. The company was responding to the City of Johannesburg’s plans to introduce a waste-management tariff. The move, if approved, will not only cost home owners, but will also affect pickers. The African Reclaimers Organisation has asked the public to oppose the proposal. Courtesy #DStv403
