00:04We're here off the coast of South America in the Caribbean Sea.
00:10It's us, the Krat Brothers.
00:12I'm Chris.
00:13I'm Martin.
00:13Are you ready for a creature adventure?
00:15Everybody knows what a fish looks like.
00:17And pretty much everybody can draw a fish from all the time they're for.
00:21You have that basic fish body design.
00:24The tail fin, a dorsal fin, the pectoral fin, the eyes.
00:30That's your basic fish.
00:33But not every fish has that typical fish body design.
00:37Some are different.
00:38And that's what we're looking for today.
00:40Unusual fishes.
00:47Oh, here's a school of pretty ordinary fish.
00:50Juvenile parrotfish, put over here.
00:53Oh, this is an unusual fish.
00:56Really stretched out, a spotted snake eel.
01:00Oh, and you can see how he gets his name.
01:07But check out this feature.
01:08He digs with his tail.
01:10So he can hide in the sand.
01:13His whole body gets under there until only his head is sticking out,
01:19where he can ambush any other fish swimming by.
01:22Oh, another one.
01:24You see that?
01:25There's another kind of unusual fish right in there.
01:28A seahorse.
01:30Yes, a seahorse is a fish.
01:33Oh, we're running out of air, bro.
01:35Let's go.
01:39The seahorse is a very well-known creature.
01:42But how much do we really know about it?
01:44Imagine if we could enter the seahorse world.
01:47Imagine what we could find out about seahorses.
01:50Play it.
01:54Play it.
01:58On adventures with the coolest creatures.
02:00From the oceans to the trees.
02:03The brothers' craft are going places you never get to see.
02:07Hanging with their creature friends.
02:09Get ready.
02:10It's the hour.
02:11We're going to see some animals today with Creature Power.
02:16It's going to go wild, wild, crats.
02:18It's going to go wild, wild, crats.
02:20It's going to go wild, wild, crats.
02:22It's going to go wild, wild, crats.
02:26It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:34It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:35It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:38It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:38It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:41It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:42It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:43It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:44It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:45It's going to go wild, wild, wild, crats.
02:49Yeah, I love riding horses.
02:53Me too.
02:54I never want to stop.
03:00Whoa!
03:02Wow, so much for horseback riding.
03:05You feel like swimming?
03:06I guess I have no choice.
03:13Not a bad place for a splash landing.
03:16Whoa, a coral reef.
03:18Okay, so now it looks like we'll be doing a coral reef adventure.
03:22Good thing we came prepared.
03:29Yeah, there are so many different kinds of amazing life forms on the reef.
03:36You mean like these guys?
03:39Seahorses!
03:40Seahorses?
03:41I thought you were riding regular horses.
03:45Well, our plan's kind of changed.
03:48We're checking out seahorses now.
03:50You know, I've always wondered about seahorses.
03:53Yeah, me too.
03:54With a head like a horse.
03:56And it's got a prehensile tail like a monkey.
03:59What are they?
04:02Okay, I'll tell you.
04:03Yeah, but you better sit down for this.
04:10What are they?
04:12Seahorses are...
04:13Fish!
04:15What?
04:18They fell over anyway.
04:20Maybe we should have told them to sit on the floor.
04:23Yeah, next time.
04:24What do you mean seahorses are fish?
04:27How can a seahorse be a fish?
04:29Hmm.
04:30Here, I'll show you.
04:32Okay.
04:35Here's a fish.
04:37Then, what Mother Nature did was take this fish and change its head.
04:41And then stretch it out.
04:44So it was more like this.
04:45And then bent the body down this way.
04:49And then its tail changed from a swimming tail to a tail that can grab.
04:53So, a seahorse looks pretty different, but it's still a kind of fish.
04:57And there's a reason for the seahorse's unique shape.
05:00It doesn't swim all over the place like most other fish.
05:03It swims small distances by moving its little dorsal fin back and forth.
05:08But most of the time, the seahorse uses its prehensile tail to grab onto grasses and coral and just hang
05:15there until food floats by.
05:18Whoa, I get it.
05:19But it's still kind of weird.
05:21So its body design is perfect for its way of living.
05:24Exactly.
05:25Hey, but that doesn't mean we have to stop riding horses.
05:28Let's ride these guys.
05:30Uh, Martin.
05:31They're seahorses.
05:33And they're tiny.
05:34Oh, okay.
05:35So I'll give her seahorse a smaller name.
05:36I'll call you Ocean Pony.
05:41And then we can miniaturize and ride.
05:45Whoa, wait a second.
05:47You guys shouldn't just use miniaturization technology for playing around.
05:51This is serious technology.
05:54Well, uh, of course we have to do research on the short-snouted seahorse, hippocampus, hippocampus,
06:00to, uh, explore how this seahorse, um, interacts with other inhabitants of the coral reef system.
06:06Yes, of course.
06:08Nice one, bro.
06:10Uh-huh.
06:11Yeah, uh-huh.
06:12When you two play around with technology, something usually goes wrong.
06:16If you're going to use the miniaturizer, you'd better get a lot of info on seahorses.
06:21I'm going to prep my invention station for seahorse power disc creation.
06:25And I'll be checking in on you.
06:28Hmm.
06:29Soon.
06:36Oh, I love the beach.
06:39But what does it take to design a line of beach jewelry?
06:45Ah!
06:47Hmm.
06:49Maybe I can call up the Krat brothers and catch them with some creature that inspires me.
06:59Yeah, when you look closer, you can see that the seahorse is sending waves down his dorsal fin.
07:05And that's how Ocean Pony moves forward.
07:10Oh, come on, Aviva.
07:12You're calling already.
07:12We just got started with this.
07:14See-
07:14See ya.
07:16Yeah.
07:16Nice to see you, Danita.
07:18Hello.
07:20Hello, Martino.
07:22Uh, hello.
07:25Hello.
07:26You said that already.
07:28What are you up to?
07:30Uh, uh, nothing.
07:31Nothing at all.
07:33Gotta go.
07:33Bye.
07:34What?
07:35Hmm.
07:36Now Danita's gonna get really interested.
07:39Oh, no.
07:40She's calling back.
07:41Don't answer.
07:42I'm not.
07:43In fact, I'm hanging up on her.
07:45Oops.
07:46Who were you hanging up on?
07:48Oh, I thought you were Danita.
07:50Oh, nice.
07:51Thanks a lot.
07:53So, what have you discovered about the seahorses?
07:56Well, they have dorsal fins, that they swim.
07:59That's it?
08:00But we learned that already.
08:01But they don't flap them.
08:03They send undulating waves down them.
08:05Well, that is something new.
08:06But I'm making creature power suits, guys.
08:09I need some wow facts.
08:10I'll call you back.
08:15Wow.
08:16Wow.
08:17Look how a seahorse rises up in the water.
08:20He uses the gases in his body to sink down and float up.
08:25That's wow.
08:30Hey, Aviva, we just found a...
08:32A-a-a-a-choo!
08:35Oh, wow.
08:36What a sneeze, huh?
08:38So, what are you doing underwater?
08:41Uh...
08:42I'm taking a bath.
08:45Oh, that must be a big tub.
08:48Well, it's more of a pool.
08:50Wow!
08:52You take baths in a pool?
08:55Uh, sometimes.
08:57A pool!
08:57And with a mask.
08:59Uh, well...
09:01And in your clothes.
09:03Oh!
09:06Oh!
09:08What's that floating around your head?
09:11Oh, uh, a bath toy.
09:13Aren't you a little old for bath toys?
09:15Well, uh, no.
09:16Uh, yes.
09:17Uh, I like rubber seahorsie bath toys and...
09:20Wait a moment.
09:21I know what those are.
09:22Earrings!
09:24Uh, no, they're not.
09:25Just little old seahorses who are swimming away.
09:28A collection of beach jewelry made of cute and tiny, precious little seahorses.
09:33Oh!
09:35Oh, there they go.
09:36Can't find them anymore.
09:38Too bad.
09:38So sorry.
09:39I'll be right there!
09:46Rubber seahorsie to Big Rodeo.
09:47Come in, Big Rodeo!
09:49Big Rodeo here.
09:50What's your 20, Rubber seahorsie?
09:52Danita's on her way to collect all the seahorses of the reef and turn them into earrings!
09:58What?
09:59Can you intercept and delay, Danita, until we can figure out how to save, protect, or hide
10:03all these seahorses?
10:04And in a coral reef the size of a football field, there can be a lot of seahorses.
10:11So distract her as long as possible.
10:15We've got to get busy.
10:22So, we have their signal coming from right about here.
10:26Take me there, Dobby-o!
10:2910-4, Danita.
10:31And don't mess this one up.
10:33And I will develop the designs for the new sand-between-my-toes line of beach jewelry
10:40featuring seahorse earrings!
10:47Seahorse earrings!
10:54Okay, I will have to put a big push on designing the seahorse power suits.
10:59And Cokie, you'll radar scan and find out which direction Danita's plane will be coming
11:03in from.
11:04And Jimmy...
11:10And Jimmy will think of a way to distract her.
11:16Huh?
11:17Right.
11:20The seahorse's powers are not obvious.
11:23Yeah, we really have to get down to seahorse size to get a closer look and find out some
11:28wow facts for the seahorse power suits.
11:31And find a way to collect all the seahorses on this reef.
11:34Let's miniaturize!
11:36Let's miniaturize!
11:39Woo-hoo!
11:43Yeah!
11:53Wow, Ocean Pony!
11:55It's so cool in your world!
12:02Freeze, bro!
12:03Like all the seahorses are doing!
12:07It's a red snapper!
12:08A predatory reef fish!
12:15So camouflage is the seahorse's defense!
12:18Well, it's a start.
12:19But it won't fool Danita for long.
12:21Yeah, we've got to get these seahorses hidden and completely out of sight somehow!
12:27Oh yeah!
12:31They're seahorses, right?
12:32So, let's try to herd them!
12:36Come on!
12:37Let's just herd them into that cave over there!
12:43Let's do it!
12:50I don't know how, but it's working!
12:56What?
12:56Uh-oh!
12:57Help!
12:59I was just gonna say that.
13:01Ocean Pony, will you knock it off?
13:03I think we're gonna have to come up with another plan.
13:09Oh, that's it!
13:11Lovely!
13:14Hmm...
13:15Davio, increase speed!
13:17Get me there!
13:18Mm-hmm!
13:19All I need now is seahorses!
13:24Green!
13:25Hmm!
13:27Hmm?
13:28Hmm?
13:31Hmm?
13:31Hey!
13:32Look at that!
13:34He pops open his jaws and creates a suction that pulls in his prey!
13:39Okay!
13:39Okay, now that counts as a pretty cool power!
13:42Uh-oh!
13:44But seahorses are also part of the food chain!
13:49And the red snapper's heading right towards Ocean Pony!
13:57He's not gonna make it in time!
14:02I'm on it, partner!
14:09I'm on it, partner!
14:10Got him!
14:14Oh-oh!
14:15Changing color!
14:17Oh-ho!
14:18He tricked the fish into thinking he was part of the reef!
14:21Now that definitely counts as a creature power!
14:26Aviva, did you see that?
14:27Got it!
14:28The jaw-snapping suction and the camouflage!
14:30But I'm still not sure if we have a seahorse power that can save all the seahorses from Danita!
14:35You'd better hurry, because I've got a beat on Danita's plane!
14:39It's coming in from the east and fast!
14:41Okay, I have been swimming, camouflage, prehensile tail, color change, and...
14:47not much else!
14:48Guys, you have to give me more powers to work with!
14:51Besides looking incredibly cool, there must be something else unique and unusual about the seahorse!
14:56Danita will be here in five minutes!
14:58So, Jimmy, it's time to put your plan of distraction into action!
15:06Jimmy, your plan!
15:08Huh?
15:10My plan?
15:12Yeah, my plan!
15:15I don't have a plan!
15:17Uh-oh, that's not good!
15:19Come on, Ocean Pony!
15:20You've got to give us something big!
15:23Some power that we can use to help save all you seahorses!
15:30Whoa!
15:31What's wrong with this seahorse?
15:33It looks like he swallowed a golf ball!
15:36Yeah!
15:36And a good name too, Chris!
15:38Golf ball!
15:39Nice one!
15:41What's going on?
15:43I don't know!
15:46They're baby seahorses!
15:49And they're swimming out of some kind of pouch on his belly!
15:53Uh, I think you made a mistake calling golf ball a he!
15:57Golf ball's obviously a mom!
15:59Actually, golf ball is a he!
16:01Yeah, in seahorses, dads give birth to the babies!
16:06What?!
16:07Yeah, it's true!
16:08In fact, seahorses and pipefish are the only creatures in the world whose dads give birth to babies!
16:16Whoa!
16:17Now that is one cool creature feature and a great power for the seahorse power suit!
16:22But I need more details!
16:24Find out more!
16:26We've got to get even smaller!
16:28Hey, I'm always up for a little miniaturization!
16:34Guys, hurry!
16:35Donita Donata has increased her speed and is arriving...
16:39Now!
16:44Uh-oh!
16:48Oh!
16:50Woo-hoo!
16:52Yeah!
16:53La-la-hooray!
16:54La-la-la-la-la-la-hooray!
16:57Jimmy, what are you...
16:58I've got a plan!
16:59I've got a plan!
17:01I've got a plan!
17:07Hmm?
17:12Hmm?
17:13Well, I never...
17:16It's...
17:17Beautiful!
17:19Nice distraction action!
17:21Yeah!
17:22That'll buy the bros some time!
17:36Hey, Martin!
17:38Where are you?
17:38I'm right here!
17:39Where are you?
17:40I'm turning on my creature pod light!
17:45There are hundreds and hundreds of tiny seahorses in here!
17:49Yeah!
17:50One seahorse dad can have as many as 1,500 baby seahorses!
17:55And as soon as they swim out of the pouch, they're on their own!
17:59And for now, they're safe in the pouch!
18:02Are you thinking what I'm thinking, bro?
18:04I think so!
18:08Oh!
18:08Oh, that one's beautiful!
18:10Oh, I've got to have it!
18:11Oh, look at how fabulous!
18:14Oh, oh!
18:14Please, I...
18:15Dabio, I've got to get that one!
18:17Oh, that is so magnificent!
18:19Oh, that would look so gorgeous on a necklace!
18:24Dabio, hold me!
18:26Lift me!
18:29Hmm...
18:32Huh?
18:33Higher, Dabio!
18:38Get it!
18:40Get it!
18:41She'll be chasing that all day!
18:43You know, this is giving me a great idea for a video game!
18:52It's a trick!
18:54How dare they!
18:57Oof!
19:01Ha!
19:11Whoa!
19:12She's good!
19:18Oh, no!
19:19We can't get back to real size!
19:21The red snapper's resting over the miniaturizer!
19:24And that means we can't initiate our plans to save the seahorses!
19:32Donita's landing over the reef!
19:39Seahorses! Seahorses!
19:40Come, Donita! Seahorses!
19:46Seahorses!
19:50Not seahorses like seeing them with your eyes!
19:53Seahorses like horses that live in the sea!
19:57Those seahorses!
20:00Oh!
20:03Oh!
20:05Dabio, lower the sea life collection filter and set it to extract seahorses!
20:12Right away, Donita!
20:15Uh...
20:16Uh...
20:18Uh...
20:18Uh...
20:25He's not moving!
20:27If I can chisel this old piece of dead coral into a seahorse-shaped lure...
20:34And if I activate the emergency fishing pole feature of the creature pod...
20:53Uh...
20:55Right...
20:56Then we can lure this red snapper away from the miniaturizer!
21:06Now, let's move!
21:20Hurry, everybody!
21:21The need is lowering some kind of Mongol filtration device!
21:27Okay, we know how to use seahorse powers!
21:30Send us the power disks!
21:31Complete and on their way!
21:33Ha!
21:34Send them, Jimmy!
21:36Teleporting!
21:39Quick! Touch a seahorse!
21:41Uh...
21:42Not a problem!
21:45Activate seahorse powers!
21:49Let's go, Martin!
21:50We've got to save the seahorses and fast!
21:53To the creature rescue!
21:55No!
22:11Oh!
22:15Huh!
22:16Huh? Why is a seahorse collector not collecting any seahorses?
22:24Davio, prepare my submarine.
22:32Davio, over there.
22:34Oh, hey, Danita. What are you doing here?
22:38I would say nice outfits, but they're not.
22:40They do not compliment your figure.
22:43Now, I demand to see the seahorses.
22:46Oh, well, Danita, the only seahorses on this reef are the ones right in front of you.
22:51You're not trying to impress me with your little suits.
22:54Your creature power suits are never fashionable.
22:58Oh, yeah? Check this out. We can make them go your favorite color.
23:03Yellow? I can't stand yellow.
23:10And if seahorses turn yellow, I can't stand them either.
23:14Let's get out of here, Davio.
23:16Yes, Danita.
23:22What did you guys do?
23:23Yeah, where are they all?
23:26What did you do with all the seahorses?
23:28Well, we used the powers of the seahorses to hide the seahorses.
23:32The power of the father's seahorses pouch to be exact.
23:37And here they are, floating free and in the wild.
23:45So, no doubt about it, seahorses are definitely fish.
23:49You got your standard fish shape, and then you've got your pipefish shape, which is really a long, stretched out
23:56fish.
23:57And then you've got your seahorse, which is actually a pipefish, all bent and twisted into a really unique shape.
24:06But a seahorse is still a fish.
24:09And if you take a close look, you can see those important fish features, just rearranged a little differently.
24:15So let's take a close look at a wild seahorse.
24:21First, you have to find one.
24:24It's really hard to find a seahorse, because they are masters of camouflage.
24:29Seahorses sway in the currents, mimicking seagrasses, dead coral, whatever their habitat is, and however their habitat's moving.
24:37That's how seahorses will be hiding.
24:43Okay, can you make out that seahorse shape swaying there with the algae?
24:48That's a seahorse.
24:50It's a long-nosed seahorse.
24:54And seahorses can change color.
24:56He's got the brown and white matching with the coral in the algae.
25:02Master of camouflage.
25:04And now he just sits there waiting for food to flow by.
25:07But when he wants to move, he can.
25:09Now he doesn't swim with his tail fin.
25:11He swims with his dorsal fin, which goes back and forth in waves, propelling the seahorse through the water.
25:18Not too fast, but he can get where he wants to go.
25:23A seahorse's tail isn't used for swimming like most fish.
25:27A seahorse's tail is used for hanging on to things.
25:31It's a prehensile tail, like a monkey's tail.
25:34A seahorse can find a place, hang on with his tail, and not get swept away by the current.
