At least 29 people including children, elderly and women were suffocated and severely injured when a massive fire gutted the Lamya Tower at 2:00am. The tower is located in the Al Khan area in Sharjah.
The injured were immediately rushed to Al Qasimi hospital and Al Kuwaiti hospital for treatment. Some of the people have been discharged and the others are receiving treatment.
