He is joined by a team of wackos and on the way he meets even crazier weirdos: a treacherous German crusader, a princess disguised as a leper, a beautiful witch, and a king who speaks only in rhyme. On reaching Palestine, Brancaleone obtains the title of baron from the child's father.
