On Saturday a nationwide chakka jam was called by farmers agitating against three new farm laws. During the chakka jam, the farmers made attempts to block all national and state highways to re-energise and revive their protest marred by violence that erupted during the tractor rally on Republic Day. Several protesters across the country, including in Delhi and Bengaluru, have been detained by the police.
