Eastern Cape on alert after spike in cases

Eastern Cape Health officials are on alert. This as Nelson Mandela Bay runs out of intensive care bed with close to 5,000 active COVID-19 cases. The province is seeing coronavirus infections increase faster than anywhere else in South Africa. 19 out of the 23 deaths recorded on Monday were in the Easter Cape, and close to 50 percent of all new infections were noted in that province.
