Formerly the Washington Redskins, the Washington Football team changed its name less than two months ago after facing cultural appropriation backlash.
The new name was intended to be a placeholder until the team came up with something more permanent.
But according to team owner
Dan Snyder, they may keep it.

uniforms, which were revealed in July.
