In East Asia, the Light-vented Bulbuls Pycnonotus sinensis-( also known as Chinese Bulbuls,- are common. In Hong Kong , mainland China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan, the population can be found. Those that occur in Taiwan are considered a subspecies.
It covers the nape and the sides of its black head with a broad white patch.
