A retired police colonel reportedly died and scores of others were injured when a magnitude 6.6 earthquake jolted the town of Cataingan in Masbate City on Tuesday morning with tremors felt in parts of Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
