Road to Enlightenment: A Yearly Wesak March to Borobudur

Every year, thousands of Buddhists in Indonesia take part in a pilgrimage on Wesak (or Vaisak as it is known locally) Day that takes them to Borobudur, one of the oldest temples in Southeast Asia.

It is a day filled with prayers, parades and the lighting of thousands of sky lanterns, all to commemorate the life, death and enlightenment of the Buddha.
