The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindudurg for 15 July as several areas in and around Mumbai could witness heavy spells of rainfall. Mumbai and various suburbs witnessed heavy intermittent spells overnight.
