Based on the manga by Inoue Noriyoshi, which also had a spin-off game for the SNES.
Natsume Kiroemon is the 45º leader of the Natsume family to inherit the Kouryuu no Mimi, a tool that grants its wielder easy access to riches and women. Thanks to his father's death, he leaves the italian monastery he was training in and takes up the name Natsume Kiroemon, as well as the power of the Kouryuu no Mimi.
After returning home to Japan, he falls in love with Kanako, a member of the rival family, Mina. However, the evil hand of the Mina family attacks Natsume repeatedly and kidnaps Kanako. Now that Natsume broke the seal, increasing the power of the Kouryuu, he can strike back at the Mina family.
