Take a deep dive into this 18th century well in rural England

These are the scenes from inside a water well built in the 1700s in Northamptonshire, UK.

Filmed on September 1, 2018, the footage shows a slow descent in the stone-built well.

During the descent, the camera sees the brick shaft and other archaic stone materials along the way before it gets to the reservoir of water at the bottom.

After submerging the light begins to fade slightly.

The filmer said: "The entrance to the well was offset a few feet to allow for an entrance to the stable block.

"It looks like the well may have been repaired with bricks in the past and a date stone appears to have been placed at the top of the well shaft.

"The date stone reads 'WW 1715', the landowner is believed to be William Wood at the time."
