Study Shows Strict Gun Laws Reduce Gun Deaths

The CDC said nearly 40,000 Americans die from firearms injuries every year, most of them from suicides and homicides. A study revealed strict laws regulating firearm storage can reduce U.S. gun death by 6%. According to Business Insider, these laws are called child access protection (CAP). They make it illegal for an adult to store a gun, or ammunition, in a place that makes it easy for a child to access. The study showed that right-to-carry and stand your ground laws are associated with a 3% increase in gun deaths.
