Teal Sapphires - 21st Century Sapphire Color!

Hello everyone. My name is Navneet Agarwal from Navneet Gems & Minerals, the marketing manager here and also a graduate gemology from GIA Carlsbad, USA. Teal sapphires are the 21st century sapphire color that are unique, attractive and traceable. This new generation doesn’t only want the classic blue sapphire or the pink sapphire, they want different colors. Its not that we don’t like these classic sapphire colors – infact we have a video explaining the quality of blue sapphire that got a few 100,000’s views, but its just that we as a company since 1995, love seeing new trends and following them. So if you are a gem collector, gem enthusiast, getting engaged soon, choosing between a sapphire color for your cocktail ring – this video will tell you about the uniqueness, attractiveness and the traceability of these teal sapphires.
Lets see the unique-ness of these teal sapphires. As you can see in this video we have three different lines here, each consisting of a couple of stones. The ones at the bottom right are called parti sapphires, these are basically any combination of 2 or 3 or more colors usually split by a line of color. We usually don’t see any two parti stones looking alike. The two stones on the right are a combination of yellow-green-blue, while the tiny one on the left is a blue green parti sapphire with a line of blue splitting the parti! These parti sapphires like the name suggests create the parti like feeing. You want to go party.

Moving on the ones in the middle are the green’s – mostly consisting of the straight color green only. These are straight forward.
Finally the ones you all have been waiting for are these amazing teal sapphires. Firstly, lets talk about the uniqueness of the sapphires. By now you already know that no teal sapphires can be of the exact same color; let me go through a real example. Starting with the first stone it consists of 60% blue, 20% yellow and 20% space grey. The space grey is the extinction part, where its hazy looking almost no real blue color. Then we move on the second stone here; it consists of 50% blue, 35% green and 15% yellow. This combination produces the perfect teal blue green sapphires. As you can understand no blue are the same, so if the first and second stones are similar blue content – the intensity of blue is very different – which makes it so unique.
