White House Economic Adviser: Coming Months Are 'Going To Look Terrible'

White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett said Sunday the US unemployment rate is likely to hit 16% or higher in April.
President Donald Trump’s advisers want to hone a list of five or six ideas to present to Congress to assist in healing the economic bloodletting.

In an interview with ABC, Hassett added, “really big thoughtful policies” will be needed to rebuild confidence.

According to Reuters, a record 26.5 million Americans have filed for jobless benefits since mid-March.
Retail sales, homebuilding and consumer confidence have all cratered.
