The central government is still in the mood to discuss whether the lockdown should be extended beyond April 14. Prime Minister Narendra Modi videoconferencing with the Chief Ministers of all the states on 11 April discussed the latest situation, in which there was talk about lockdown. Chief Ministers of 10 states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Odisha strongly advocated to increase the lockdown. However, the Center has not yet made any formal announcement regarding this, but there was a competition to increase the lockdown in the states.

केंद्र सरकार अभी मंथन की मुद्रा में है कि लॉकडाउन को 14 अप्रैल से आगे बढ़ाया जाए या नहीं. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सभी राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों के साथ 11 अप्रैल को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग कर ताजा हालात पर चर्चा की, जिसमें लॉकडाउन को लेकर भी बात हुई. उत्तर प्रदेश, दिल्ली, पंजाब, राजस्थान और ओडिशा समेत 10 राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों ने लॉकडाउन बढ़ाने की जोरदार पैरवी की. हालांकि, केंद्र ने इसे लेकर अभी कोई औपचारिक ऐलान नहीं किया है, लेकिन राज्यों में लॉकडाउन बढ़ाने की होड़ लग गई.
