President Moon Jae-in will hold an emergency economic council meeting in the coming hours,… the fourth of its kind,… as the country responds to the coronavirus outbreak.
It's likely they will focus on devising measures to protect small business owners and those in vulnerable social groups.
The government has already laid out frameworks for major economic measures to counter the fallout.
The participants may also call for the need to protect society's most vulnerable who were not covered by the previous economic measures due to blind spots.
There's also a possibility of the government submitting this week another supplementary budget bill worth some 5-point-7 billion U.S. dollars to the National Assembly.
This would be on top of the 9-point-4 billion dollars of extra budget that was approved in mid-March.
