The central government asked National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) and state governments to ensure adequate supply of APIs and formulations at affordable prices in the market. It also issued instructions to NPPA, DCGI and state governments to prevent black marketing, illegal hoarding, artificial shortages of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and formulations in the country.
चीन में फैले कोरोना वायरस को देखते हुए औषधि सुरक्षा के मसले के समाधान को लेकर संयुक्त औषधि नियंत्रक ई रेड्डी की अध्यक्षता में एक समिति गठित की थी. समिति ने अपनी रिपोर्ट में दावा किया की दवा बनाने के लिये एपीआई का मौजूदा भंडार संभवत: 2-3 महीनों के लिये पर्याप्त होगा.
