CAA protests: TMC gives Rs 5 lakh compensation to family of person killed in Mangaluru violence

Trinamool Congress delegation led by senior leader Dinesh Trivedi handed over compensation cheque of Rs 5 lakh to kin of one of the two people who died during protests against Citizenship (Amendment) Act on December 19. People across the nation are staging protests against CAA and proposed nationwide NRC. The new Citizenship Act gives Indian citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants from three neighbouring countries i.e., Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
