Japan's Emperor Naruhito ascends to the throne in a colorful ceremony attended by foreign dignitaries among them President Uhuru Kenyatta. The emperor takes over the throne after his father at a time when Japan is reeling from a typhoon which left almost 80 people dead. A planned celebration parade was postponed in respect of the victims and their families.
