Kenya has become the first East African country to export crude oil to international markets. The first tankers transporting 200,000 barrels of crude oil left the New Kipevu Oil Terminal in Mombasa destined for Malaysia. Speaking when he flagged off the first crude oil shipment, President Uhuru Kenyatta said Kenya will continue to pursue natural resources responsibly without compromising the future generation.
