In the past, Boris Johnson referred to black “piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles” and gay people as “bumboys.” According to Business Insider, Johnson refuses to apologize for his comments, saying they were “satirical.” Johnson, who is running against Theresa May for prime minister, said his words were “wrenched out of context.” In his book “Friends, Voters, Countrymen,” Johnson compared gay marriage to bestiality.
