She has made a name for herself in women's soccer through her performances with her university team, the Golden Bears, with whom she played from 2007 to 2010. She was draffed in 2011 by the Western New York Flash and then joined the Seattle Sounders the following year. With her professional career underway, she became one of the best strikers in the country. With the national team, she won the 2012 Olympic Games before being crowned World Champion in 2015. Her success has earned her the interest of the major European clubs, including the Olympique Lyonnais, with whom she played for the last 6 months of the 2016-2017 season.
