Miami Heat to Acquire Jimmy Butler in Sign-and-Trade Butler will be leaving the City of Brotherly Love for the Sunshine State. The Philadelphia 76ers will receive Josh Richardson from the Miami Heat as part of the deal. Other terms of the deal were still being negotiated on Sunday night. The Dallas Mavericks were originally interested in acquiring Miami's Goran Dragic as part of a three-team deal. Bill Duffy, Dragic's agent, via ESPN Butler was drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the No. 30 pick of the 2011 NBA Draft. The All-Star was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves two years ago and led Minnesota to its first playoff appearance in 13 seasons. Butler was traded to Philadelphia in November for Robert Covington and Dario Saric. The 76ers lost in the Eastern Conference semifinals in 7 games to the NBA champion Toronto Raptors.
