R. Kelly Charged With 11 New
Felony Counts of Sexual Assault The charges against R. Kelly reportedly
stem from sexual abuse against known
victim Jerhonda Pace in 2010. Pace was a minor at the time and
revealed the alleged abuse in the 2019
documentary series, ‘Surviving R. Kelly.’ The new charges include four counts of
aggravated criminal sexual assault, two
counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, two counts of criminal sexual assault by force
and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual
abuse against a victim between the ages of 13 and 16. Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, clarified
that the new charges are a part of the existing
case against Kelly and not a new case. Steve Greenberg,

10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual
abuse Kelly was charged with in February 2019. If convicted of the additional charges, Kelly faces
a maximum of 30 years in prison for each of the
four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault. He is expected to return to
Cook County court in Chicago
on June 6 to face the new charges.
