Trump Says He's 'Monitoring And Watching Closely' After Facebook Bans Far-Right Users

President Trump weighed in on the recent ban of some far-right users.

President Trump on Friday issued a warning to social media companies after Facebook banned some prominent far-right personalities.
"I am continuing to monitor the censorship of AMERICAN CITIZENS on social media platforms," Trump tweeted. "This is the United States of America — and we have what's known as FREEDOM OF SPEECH! We are monitoring and watching, closely!!"
In another tweet, he wrote: "The wonderful Diamond and Silk have been treated so horribly by Facebook. They work so hard and what has been done to them is very sad - and we're looking into. It's getting worse and worse for Conservatives on social media!"
His tweets came a day after multiple media outlets reported on Facebook bans.
Facebook has "permanently banned several far-right and anti-Semitic figures and organizations, including Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, Infowars host Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos and Laura Loomer, for being 'dangerous,' a sign that the social network is more aggressively enforcing its hate-speech policies at a moment when bigoted violence is on the rise around the world," noted the Washington Post.
