Hi, my name is Billy and this is a show reel i have produced for all my college work this year, in level 3 media.
Units 1&2 - Crowdfunding For our first two units on the course, we had to research the purpose of crowdfunding and create a video crowdfunding a project of our choice (we didn't actually have to crowdfund a real project though). I decided that I wanted to crowdfund a TV show called investor central which is where small entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas and compete against over contestants. With the help of my peers, we created this crowdfunding video and our tutor was very impressed.
Units 3 & 4 - News TV show. For our second assignment, we worked in a group and put together a live news tv show using a triple camera setup. We encountered issues with the green screen and audio but our group had strong communication and we gained a fair amount of experience.
Units 5&6 - Documentaries For this assignment, I teamed up with my friend Josh to produce a documentary uncovering a real event that my family and I experienced back in 2017. We interview my parents and neighbour on what it was like experiencing a house fire and how viewers watching can prevent one. We went for a more mysterious and toned down theme and our video was rewarded with a distinction.
