Lori Loughlin to Face
a Minimum of Two
Years in Prison Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, are among a slew of parents that have been offered plea deals in the college cheating scandal. The plea deal sentences are
determined by how much each
individual paid in bribes, and are reportedly only being
accepted by prosecutors if
they include prison time. Loughlin and her husband paid
$500,000 in bribes to get their
two daughters accepted to the
University of Southern California. The amount allegedly raises
the couple’s minimum sentence
to a range of two years to
two and a half years. Other stars such as Felicity Huffman,
who only paid $15,000 in bribes,
face a minimum of four months in prison. Prosecutors have warned the
defendants that a failure to take
their deals will lead to a federal grand jury. This would most likely result
in extra charges such as
money laundering, which will
significantly raise their prison time.
