Trump Taunts France: 'I Guess' Paris Climate Accord Working Out 'Not So Well' After Protests

President Trump slammed France in a tweet on Saturday.

President Trump has taunted France over the Paris climate agreement as the city struggles to deal with ongoing riots over economic imbalances.
"How is the Paris Environmental Accord working out for France?" Trump tweeted Saturday. "After 18 weeks of rioting by the Yellow Vest Protesters, I guess not so well! In the meantime, the United States has gone to the top of all lists on the Environment."
His post comes the same day French protesters, who are part of the yellow vest movement, once again took to the streets in violence to express their anger about worsening economic inequalities.
The Associated Press reports: "The resurgent violence comes at a watershed moment for a movement, which had been fizzling in recent weeks, and at the end of a two-month-long national debate called by [President Emmanuel] Macron that protesters say failed to answer their demands for economic justice."
Meanwhile, the relationship between Trump and Macron has reportedly deteriorated over disagreements involving trade, the Iran nuclear deal, Syria, and the Paris climate accord.
Trump pulled the U.S. out of the climate agreement in 2017, citing unfair financial burdens on the U.S.
Macron and other world leaders subsequently spoke out about the withdrawal and denied Trump's claim about a potential renegotiation.
