We know and feel that God is love. 1 John 4:8 tells us that ""Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."
Moreover, verse 16 tells us that "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." (KJV)
Love is in the nature of God as such that if we live in love, we live in God. The Bible which is inspired by God has a lot of verses that talk about love.
