Lupita Nyong’o Decompressed at Meditation Retreat After ‘Black Panther’ While the rest of the world was immersing themselves in the wonders of Wakanda, Lupita Nyong’o was immersing
herself in some much needed self-care. Nyong’o spent ten days at a silent retreat
in Texas, practicing meditation and detaching completely from the outside world. The actress had always been
interested in meditation, gifting herself the
silent retreat for her 35th birthday. Nyong'o turned over her phone for the
entirety of her stay. A feat she found
difficult, yet ultimately rewarding. Lupita Nyong’o, via 'Marie Claire' Upon completing the retreat,
Nyong’o found that her renewed
ability to focus allowed her to listen
to music with a new sense of clarity. Her favorite album?
‘Damn’ by Kendrick Lamar. Lupita Nyong’o, via 'Marie Claire'
