Arson is believed to be the reason behind a recent fire at the D.C. pizza restaurant once targeted by so-called "Pizzagate" conspiracy theorists, reports WTOP.
The incident occurred at Comet Ping Pong Wednesday night when a small fire burned curtains and other nearby materials before getting put out by employees.
The Washington Post notes: "A police report says investigators found several burned matches on the floor under where the curtain had hung in a backroom. The report says they also found a box of matches and an open, partially full plastic bottle of lighter fluid on a table."
No one was hurt in the fire, and authorities are currently trying to find a bearded white man believed to be in his mid-to-late 20s who was seen around the restaurant at the time of the incident, reports WRC.
It is unknown if the incident occurred in connection with "Pizzagate," which falsely claimed the restaurant was the center of a child sex abuse ring involving Hillary Clinton.
