President Kenyatta declares total war on Coast drug menace [News Bulletin]

Eight Kenyans have have opposed the replacement of Jomo Kenyatta on the currency.
House Speaker Justin Muturi said Mithamo Muchiri and seven others are concerned that the implementation of Article 231 (4) of the Constitution will remove the face of the first president from the currency.
Article 231(4) states that notes and coins issued by the Central Bank of Kenya may bear images that depict or symbolize Kenya or aspect of Kenya but shall not bear the portrait of any individual.
The petitioners want the National Assembly to amend the clause and the Central Bank of Kenya Act to allow the use of portraits and other features.
