US Department Of Education To Make Changes To Title IX

The U.S. Department of Education is taking over the way Title IX has been used. The law use to hold schools accountable for preventing and responding to sexual violence against students. According to the Huffington Post, the new changes may take away some of those protections. They would ignore “low-level” sexual misconduct like inappropriate comments or groping that research says is a precursor to child sexual abuse.
