More Children Dying In The US From Guns Than From Cancer

A study from the University of Michigan says more children are dying from gun deaths than cancer. According to UPI, the study said over 20,360 children died in the U.S. in 2016. The study shows young black males are twice as likely to die from gun deaths than young white males. Dr. Thomas Weiser said the homicide rate in the U.S. is high because of easy access to guns. Dr. Edward Campion said the U.S. has made progress but that it is “not effectively protecting its children.
