Nationals Sign Starting Pitcher Patrick Corbin to Six-Year Deal Pending a physical, the contract is reportedly for around $140 million. The deal is the second highest in Nationals history behind fellow starting pitcher Max Scherzer's. Corbin has spent his entire seven-year career with the Arizona Diamondbacks and is coming off his best season yet. He also logged 200 innings and set a career-high with 246 strikeouts. Corbin joins a rotation that boasts the three-time Cy Young Award winner Scherzer and three-time All-Star Stephen Strasburg.
